Michigan Property Tax Appeals
"Why am I paying so much in Property Taxes?"
If this is the question that you are asking yourself year after year, then it is time to do something about it. Property values have dropped across the State of Michigan, but many properties have not been accurately assessed for property tax purposes.
Delzer Legal has developed working relationships with the assessors in communities across the State of Michigan and has been successful advocating on behalf of its clients before both the Michigan Tax Tribunal and State Tax Commission.
Every February or March, each property owner receives a Notice of Assessment. Please send our office a copy of this Notice and if it is not available, send us the property address or the parcel identification number. Delzer Legal will review the assessment and then discuss with you the potential for a tax reduction. This consultation is always free.
Many times, settlements to reduce your taxes can be reached quickly and with almost no cost. However, formal hearings before the Michigan Tax Tribunal or State Tax Commission may be necessary to achieve the desired result.
Tax appeal services are provided on a contingency fee basis. If we are not successful at saving you money on a property tax appeal, you owe us nothing.
